OUR MISSION: TO ADVOCATE FOR DIVERSITY, MULTICULTURALISM AND SOCIAL ISSUES.

Our works are based on the intimate investigation of human emotions, African roots and Cuban cultural tradition and heritage featuring creations of Artistic Director José Angel Carret and other choreographers.

  12th edition of our International Dance Event TEADE 2023!!!

 

TEADE 2023 is open for professional dancers and students (13+ years old)

15 diverse workshops  in the morning with guest master teachers Johanna Bergfelt ,Nicola Pantin, Patrick Parson, Lisa August among others, with classes by our Artistic Directors. Mercedes Bernardez and Jose Angel Carret.

 

 PLUS, intensive afternoon classes with over 12 hours of Ballet and Contemporary Dance Techniques classes taught by our Artistic Directors.

     Classes from Monday July 17-21

                  (10 am -5 pm )

In this edition we are also offering the opportunity to perform on July 22 ( 2 pm) to all participants,who will dance demonstrating dance combos from the dance classes and more. In our Showcase we will have performances from this edition ' guests by : George Brown College Dance Program and Canada's Ballet Jorgen Junior Company as well as students from The Etobicoke School of the Arts, 520 Dancing, Swansea School of Dance , Loco Dance Company and The Carret Dance Conservatory and performances by young professional dancers.

Showcase will be  at the Winchester  Street Theatre Saturday July 22  at 2 pm.

TEADE participation also acts as  an AUDITION to enter our FULL TIME POST SECONDARY  DANCE TRAINING PROGRAM at  TCDC (The Carret Dance Conservatory) Classical  or Contemporary Division with CID- UNESCO certification. TCDC’s  professional  training program is  an intensive and  personalized training for those dancers who are interested  in becoming a professional dancer.

  • 15 Diverse dance workshops taught by international renowned guest teachers of Ballet, Modern & Contemporary  Dance, Popular Cuban Dances and Folklore.

  • 3 classes per day including; Ballet, Contemporary, African Dance, Flamenco , Cuban Contemporary, Cuban Popular Dance, Afro- Caribbean Contemporary, Jazz.

  • Choreographic Workshops

  • Showcases highlighting excerpts of work by guest dance companies

  • Dancer Health Workshop and Conference
